My nieces have been wanting to go to Kidiverse all summer long! We finally made it there this past week and we had a funtastic time! We received complimentary tickets for the day, and I'm sharing about our experience.
Quick Tips:
- Indoor play area aimed at kids up to age 12
- Check their site for deals and to fill out the online waiver ahead of time
- Be ready to play with your kids! Adults are allowed on the play stuff, too
- Bring friends with you - it's a great place for kids to play TOGETHER
- You can spend 3-5 hours here, depending on ages and energy levels
- They have birthday party packages
- Snacks and drinks are sold here, but you can leave and re-enter, which we did and ate lunch elsewhere
Now, for a more detailed description of all there is to do!
My husband and I brought five kids to Kidiverse, ranging in ages from three to ten.
We went on a Monday around noon and it wasn't crowded at all. Upon arrival, you'll fill out a waiver (or can do so ahead of time online on their site). There's an admission charge and you need their site-specific non-skid socks, but those can be reused on future trips. You can purchase one day's admission or a monthly membership pass.
I liked that there was one gate in and one gate out for the whole place. It was a nice touch of added security. Once we entered, our crew ran in with excitement and immediately rode on the five-seater merry-go-bike. It was perfect for our group. There is also a four seat see-saw.
Parents with babies/toddlers will find an area dedicated to them, with some baby toys, riding and climbing toys.
Parents with kids who love to run, climb and jump will enjoy the HUGE playground. Did you ever go to Discovery Zone as a kid? This play area reminded me of those places, long gone. The playground structure seemed endless and had lots to explore. At one end were four big slides that the older kids all enjoyed. It was a little too big for my three-year-old, but she doesn't usually like them. The two ten-year-olds with us enjoyed making the playground into an obstacle course and having to certain areas in order. The seven and eight-year-olds loved the big slide and the big ball area. There was a zip line on the second level of the playground, and underneath it was a basketball play area with hoops that you could also play soccer in.
On the other side of the place was Tiny City. If you've been to District Kids in Oviedo Mall, it was similar to there - with Melissa and Doug pretend playsets inside Tiny Houses. All of the girls enjoyed using their imagination in this area too. My niece who is a bookworm found a book she enjoyed in the Reading Nook and took an occasional break from playing to relax and read.
Beyond this area are the challenging courses. There is a rock climbing wall, a rope wall, and a Ninja-like course. All of the girls enjoyed challenging themselves in this area. trying to make it to the top or across the ropes. It was fun to watch them calculating their moves and reaching their goals.
Parents are allowed in all of the play areas! My husband really enjoyed this aspect! We both enjoyed playing the basketball hoop game, air hockey and Foosball. Close by is the Interactive Game Room with an iWall. The seven and eight-year-olds had a lot of fun in here!
Kidiverse has birthday packages too! You can fill out what you're looking for online and pick from several packages. This would be a fun place for kids to have a party because they can play TOGETHER. That would be my recommendation on regular days, too. The fact that we had five cousins playing together made it one of their favorite days together. They all got to play together and use their creativity, skills and teamwork to have fun while staying physically active.
We will definitely be going back! I asked the girls which day with their cousins was their favorite, and Kidiverse was a clear winner!
As we left, I asked each of them what their favorite part of Kidiverse was.
- Three-year-old: the slide (in the toddler area) and the climbing things and playhouses
- Seven-year-old: the big slide, the ball area and the playground
- Eight-year-old: the big slide, the i-Wall and the playground
- Ten-year-old: the rock wall and the playground
- Ten-year-old: the library, the playground and Tiny City
In the age of screens and digital devices, Kidiverse is a welcomed play option for kids. I do a lot of research for fun places to take my daughter and nieces and this place was on our list. We thank them for hosting us and showing us all there is to do.
Kidiverse was started by two moms looking for a play space for their kids. They sure made it!
