Have you heard of Partners in Education at your child's school? Sometimes abbreviated at PIE, these are community businesses that partner up with local schools to offer support.

Sometimes the support is monetary, or it can be time, resources, prizes, donations, anything. There may be an after-school program that has snacks or prizes donated by a local business, a Partner in Education. Business partners might come in for Teach-In or to read a book to a class. Some local eateries donate party food or have lunch catered for the staff. Businesses might donate coupons to be used as student incentives.

You've probably attended or heard of Spirit Nights. This is when a Partner in Education will donate a percentage of sales back to the school, grade level or particular club or sport. You can support local school by attending these Spirit Nights!

You can show even more support by patronizing your local school's Partners in Education, and let them know you're there because of their support to a local school.
