My family has just flown back in from the second star to the right, also known as Neverland. While out of town, we met a magical fairy and a swashbuckling pirate! While our pixie dust has worn off, our memories will last forever. It was truly a birthday celebration filled with magical moments that made the birthday girl and all of her guests have a wonderful time!

My family goes all out for birthday parties. Growing up, our parents enjoyed throwing big parties for our birthdays and the holidays. We kids have happily continued on with these traditions. For this Neverland party, we partnered with Dreams Do Come True, who was able to invite a fairy and a pirate to my niece's party. My niece was all about the fairy!! My sister and I created a treasure hunt for the kids, and it was so fun to watch them lead the kids to the clues and actions we created. We all sang happy birthday at cake time, and everyone got pictures with the special guests before they had to return to Neverland.

We, as parents, were talking about the magic that our children believe in, and how we want to cherish these moments while they are young. Having a character come to your child's celebration can be one way to create that magic. The characters come prepared with activities or they will work with you on an idea you have! In our case, we created a scavenger/treasure hunt that the characters were able to host. One of the best moments is watching your child's face when their special guest arrives. We kept this a surprise for the birthday girl and her guests! The smiles and squeals of delight were caught on camera and are such happy memories now. 

These characters interacted well with the kids. They were able to ad lib, speak on the spot, and come up with great answers to the kids questions. Not only was it amazing to watch them work, but I was able to meet Amy, CEO of Dreams Do Come True, and I had a few questions for her.

Question: How did you start "Dreams Do Come True"?

I worked with the Walt Disney World Company for eight years right out of high school and obtained a small business degree. I also worked for a small company who was similar to my company, but the company moved away. In that time I really focused on learning the ins and outs of the business and thought, What better time to get started?

Question: Besides birthday celebrations, are there other events or services you offer?

We are available for kids birthday parties, events and out of town guest visits.

Question: What are some examples of party plans that a parent/care giver might expect when booking with you?

We supply everything and we have enough entertainment for the hour. We stay in contact the entire time. Our most common review is how attentive to detail we are.

Question: What preparation goes into an event for you?

We ask the parents/care givers questions to make sure our performers really make the experience magical. It’s really amazing to a child when their favorite character arrives to their home or event and knows their name. 

Question: What are some of the best moments your company has been part of?

People will visit Florida from out of town and skip the theme parks all together. Instead, they hire us because they love that we are one on one.

Question: What are some magical moments you've seen come to life for children?

We work with big box companies to the average person because we are willing to work with your budget. Those are magical moments for us that everyone gets an opportunity. 

Question: What has been the most unique event you've done?

We have done several carriages events, in fact the most in Central Florida! It’s unique because the child gets to ride in a horse and carriage with a princess or more of their choice. How many people can say that?

Question: How do out of town guests hear about your company? Where have the furthest guests come from?

We pay for advertising on Facebook, which is one way others find us. Also they google "princess meet and greet" and we usually pop up. Sometimes we travel 60 miles, however we usually are around the theme park area since that’s what brings our guests here.
