This week, the picture was taken at Charlie Mae Wilder Park, located across from the Healthy West Orange location. This is a charming spot perfect for a leisurely walk. This photo was snapped during the first West Orange Walkers event of 2025, a fantastic gathering to kick off the year with healthy habits and community fun.
At the event, attendees enjoyed a free breakfast and coffee while learning from this month’s speakers. Jennifer Beery, a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist with Orlando Health, shared tips for making healthy (and delicious) food and drink choices in 2025. Participants had the chance to ask questions about nutrition and access local resources. Emily Hernández, a registered yoga teacher from Orlando Health, then led everyone in chair yoga to warm up for the walk. The morning wrapped up with dancing led by friends from the YMCA and a delightful stroll around the park, officially known as Charlie Mae Wilder Park.
