The fall season is right around the corner, and it’s time to refresh our U-Pick farm list. Some of our little macaronis will be visiting these farms for the very first time, and hopefully, create some beautiful memories!
Please be sure to visit the websites for open dates and times! These change depending on the weather, and available supply. Most of these farms prefer to post their daily and weekly updates on their Facebook pages. If you would like to add a place to this list please email us!
How do I pick the best fruits?
The staff know their fruits best and will be happy to educate their visitors on how to recognize a ripe fruit by color, firmness, and the correct way of picking them. When we all pick fruits without damaging the stems, and branches, we all get to have an amazing experience every visit and every season. The farms will provide you with buckets and baskets for picking and clamshells and bags to take your fruits home in.
If you are picking flowers you will be provided with a pair of scissors, and bouquet bags to carry them home. If you're picking vegetables you will also get appropriate tools.
Can I eat the fruits while picking?
This depends on the rules of the farm. Some farms encourage it and will inform you as they take you to the fruits, while others strictly prohibit it. But what they all ask is that you are respectful to their fruits and bushes/trees.
What should I wear?
Wear closed-toed shoes, a sun hat, and/or sunscreen, and comfortable clothes. Bring a bottle of water.
